Hi All,
I have upgraded to 7.3 and had a couple of scripts which used ping to test if hosts were alive.
I used "ping -c 1 <ip>" , which worked well. On several 7.3 boxes however, that same command seems to hang there and doesnt exit. Anyway, I am using the -w option, so I can beat around this one. Just wondering if the above is a bug or I'm doing something wrong?
I've not seen that bug. Are you certain the host you're pinging is up and running and that there's no routing issue? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, SSE, VitalStream, Inc. rstevens vitalstream com - - 949-743-2010 (Voice) http://www.vitalstream.com - - - - If Bill Gates got a dime for every time Windows crashes... - - ...oh, wait.
