RE: mySQL socket error !

I just went through this, let me see if I can remember what I did to fix it
(it's a pain getting old).
Make sure you have the correct users set up in mySQL with the correct
passwords. I set mySQL up using root and under my own login I got the
error. By changing back to root and adding myself as a user the problem
went away.
