Virtual servers? What do you mean?
Have you tried telnetting using IP addresses rather than DNS names?
You may have a DNS issue here.
The next step is to run traceroutes from the client to the server
to see if you have some weird routing issue. Are they on the same
network/subnet? Are the gateways set properly? How about the
netmasks?
Will someone please give me a protocol to follow step by step to
hunt down the problem?
We can try. If you can send us the IP addresses, netmasks, routes
and gateway information, we can try to help. If you can't send
those due to security reasons, then you need to walk through the
stuff I mentioned above.
