Hi,
I wanted to compile a custom kernel, but it fails.
For testing I used the configs/kernel-2.4.9-i386.config file as .config, but
it fails again:

{standard input}: 207: Warning: indirect lcall without `*'
[...]
apic.:1108: `nmi_watchdog' undeclared (first use in this function)

make[1]: *** [apic.o] Error 1

I tried the same on two other machines but the compile failed too.
I use gcc-2.96-98.
Any help would be appreciated.
Gee, the apic code is failing? Is this a uni- or multi-processor
build? Are you using RedHat's source RPM? And which version of "as"
are you running?
