I have a Linksys Cable/DSL router on my Red Hat Network. The Linksys show
an incoming access report. I see scans for port 80 (http), but also see
scans for port 1433 and port 49320. What are these other ports?
1433 is a scan for Microsoft SQL Server. I'm not certain what 49320
is, but it's not a privileged, well-known or registered port (see
http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers). Aren't you glad you
have a firewall? And does the access report list the offending IP or
hardware address?
