Lots of opinions, available on almost any topic.
But, related to what you mean, I had nothing but trouble with 7.2 and I
went backward. I lived with it until 7.3 and have had only one problem,
and I created that.
I tried some other distros. Some are pretty good. Some didn't work. Some
did but I didn't like them for one reason or another. Here I am, using
Redhat once again.
Maybe 7.3 doesn't work for you. But, how can we know or try to help
unless there is some specific information. Such as:
1. What type of printer?
2. What type of internet connection? How is it connected? (i.e.
ethernet, cablemodem, dialup, etc) What did you try? What kinds of
errors did you get? Are there any log entries you can find that shed any
light?
3. Did you try to manually configure the settings for the monitor (many
need to be done that way since not every monitor can be recognized
without some help)? Do you have the settings available to help you enter
them manually?
4. Not sure about the CD drive. What kind is it? How is it connected?
So many questions. So little information offered!
Now, back to making some more opinions.
