Re: monitor probs



If using the Ctrl-Alt-F(keys) doesn't work, I tried the following when encountering a similar problem.
Restart Linux as a single user by typing "linux single" at the prompt, then run the Xconfigurator ( or "setup" if using rh7.3 ) and set your display and monitor options from there.

Try this :
	1.	Press Control-ALT-F12  (all three keys at the same time )

The screen will STAY DARK

2, Press ALT-F1 (Both keys at the same time)

You should get a text console screen with a login prompt.

	If this works you can now login and start fixing your
	X-Windows configuration file
