RE: Easiest way to clone from one computer to another - OS and files/ data

Hi Mike,
I just want make sure Ghost works on Linux systems - Redhat 7.1. Yes.
Please provide me with command line instructions. Now I am still confused.
Will it work if the two machines are two different hardware systems? My
source machine is a Dell Workstation 530 and the target machine is Dell
Poweredge 6450. The target machine has much more disk space. Will that
still work?

Hi Mary

Yes this is doable. I ghost at my job frequently. The software that I
use is call Ghost by Symantec.

I have the ghost 2001 personal edition.

I think you can download it for a free trial from symantec.com. it
owirks quite well. If you are to use it with Linux use the -ial switch.

If you want to knowmore about how to work it using command line just
answer this e-mail. I check it every day.
