I just upgraded from RH7.2 to 7.3 and was unable to create a boot
disk on the floppy drive. To check the floppy itself, I tried to
mount it and found that it now mounts read-only every time. (I
get the message:
mount: block device /dev/fd0 is write-protected, mounting read-
only
when I try to mount it.) And, no, it has nothing to do with the
write-protect tab on the floppy. I also checked the drive itself
by booting up on a Win98 DOS disk and deleting one of the files.
Worked fine, so not read-only.
The fstab info is:
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0
That seemed to work fine under RH7.2.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
