Unless you are a full functional entity on the enternet where other sendmail servers can send mail directly to your sendmail - it will never work. If you want to pick up your mail from a pop server somewhere in the world - you will have to set up fetchmail.

        After installation, run "ntsysv" as root, turn on the services
        you want,
        then reboot.

        FTP, apache, telnet, and a huge amount of stuff is disabled now by
        default for security reasons. You turn them on at your own risk
        (early versions of WU-FTP have all kinds of security holes, for
        example).
