I'm hopeing that this makes sense to someone out there and they can help me
out. I have a Compaq Persario 1201z Laptop, and a 3Com 3c575-tx pcmcia
10/100 network card. I bought it just so I could connect under Linux, and
for a while it worked fine. It soon however stopped working under Linux but
worked fine under Windows. And every laptop running Linux that I could try
it on. I tried re-installing the drivers, recompiling the kernel (thought I
really didn't have a good idea of what I was looking for, re-installing the
distro, and also loading the modules for it manualy. When I use ifconfig it
tells me that eth0, device is busy and that the network is down.
