RE: 7.3 Install Problem - Frustration

I had the same problem with my laptop. What I finaly found out was that it was the USB hub, I'm not saying that its USB for you, but what I had to do to fix it was to find some arguments that would disable/limit hardware detection on install so that it wouldn't try and load USB drivers. To find out which hardware is causing the problem try to use a different console (ctrl+alt+F#) where F# is, try any and all of the function keys. This might let you see some messages of whats going on and what it stops on.  As for the arguments to disable/limit hardware probing on install, I really don't know where to find them. If any one does know where theres a list of them I would also like to know.

Subject: 7.3 Install Problem - Frustration

I've installed Red Hat 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2 successfully on my Compaq Proliant 1600 server. I've tried the 7.3 installation in every available mode. When Anaconda begins, the process properly detects my video card and monitor and then locks up. It seems that I'm not the only one who's experienced this. I saw the same issued posted several times on the valhalla-list redhat com list with no resolution. Anyone have any ideas?
