I am trying to do a network (FTP) RedHat 7.2
install and I keep running into the same problem: "Error loading ramdisk"
and "Unable to retrieve the first install image".
I think I have followed the instruction guide
by first copying CD1 and CD2 to a directory (/usr/linux72) on the HD of my
FTP server. I have checked the /RedHat sub directories: base and RPMS and
they look OK. When I look behind the install using ALT-F3 it
says:
transferring ftp://192.168.168.167//usr/linux72/RedHat/base/netstg1.img
to a fd
created inode
error writing to device: no
space left on device
done loading 4185328
bytes
It is apparent that it found the image because when
I give it the wrong directory, it immediately returns telling me "file not found
on server".
Can you see what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks. |
