OK, it's going to happen next week - one of the great things I can do
with this is work from home BUT everything is set up for Windows and
for some of our software to work they are using PC Anywhere.

I need to do some reading, How do I do this using Linux? HOW-TO's? Books? Websites? Personal experiences?

Install VMWare on your machine and install Windows within it. It may be
slower than working on a Windows machine by itself, but it'll get the
job done. I do it (when I need to) and it works great.

You might also want to try Win4Lin. I've used it with great success. There is something slightly unnerving about having Windows running as a process under Linux, somehow.
