Are you usig a router of any kind? I had this same problem and I noticed
slow logins and such. I put in a new router and it helped some, I use
port forwarding through the router. I also replaced the ethernet card and
I quit having the problem. If you have firewall setup on your machine, it
may be one of the settings.
