My guess is, based on the last several messages, you are one of the dolts I see regularly on the XP newsgroups. They complain about not getting any help when they (supposedly) try linux, and they blame linux users. The truth is, they post ineffective questions, don't post at all, don't get a reply to something obscure that most people know nothing about, etc. They then get rude and overbearing, pick spats, start trashing people and equipment, and continue to get no assistance. Then they run back to the choir and preach about how much better their choice of OS is because "that other one" didn't give any useful help.

Here's a clue: ask in a way that people understand, ask in a civil manner, realize that not everybody knows everything, realize that some things are so obvious that the slightest bit of effort will reveal the answer and that some of us won't make any effort to reply to things that are obvious, realize that some of us get in excess of several hundred messages a day (even in the thousands) and that we don't all read every one of them and that sometimes we skim headers (so make subject lines useful), realize there are dozens of other sources for assistance; realize all of these things and that linux helps those who help themselves, and you will be enlightened about how to proceed.

The alternative is to run back to windoze XP and complain about how terrible we are and how superior the windoze users are. Complain about us in between asking why your hardware fails to work, your CD writer software doesn't work, why you are getting activation timeouts, why you suddenly get innumerable stop errors, why you can't boot into safe mode, where you can find drivers for hardware that doesn't work (and won't because there aren't, and won't be, any drivers for it) and so forth.

Now, do you have a question that someone can help you with, or do you wish to continue being a jerk?
