Re: Installation help

Jon,
    Sorry to be so dense on this but I have never tried installing Linux on
a Intel machine that already has an OS installed. Here is what I have so
far.

The 20 Gb disk (/dev/hda) has three partitions -
partition /dev/hda1 is drive C which is formatted as FAT32 start at 1 end
at 64 size of 502M;

partition /dev/hda2 start at 65 end at 2490 size 19030M type extended. On
this partition is drive D, /dev/hda5, which is formatted as NFTS where the
WIN 2000 OS is installed start 65 end 701 size 4996M. Drive D has as logical
drive associated with it, Drive E, which is also formatted as NFTS start 702
end 892 size 1498M; then there is free space that is not formatted or
assigned start 893 end 2490 size 12535 M;

partition /dev/hda3 start 2491 end 2491 size 7M Linux native. I am not sure
how that got there unless it is left over from one of my previous
unsuccessful attempts at trying to install Linux.

I have booted redhat7.2, chose text, chose custom install, selected
DiskDruid and that is where I am currently setting.

I would appreciate any help or links that I could go to, so this would be
hopefully my last attempt at installing.

Thanks for your time and patience with me in this matter.
