Re: RPM cannot be found during installation.

Odds are the ISO you downloaded is hosed. The sizes should be:

      654384 redhat-7.2-disk2-intel.iso

Can't be I did md5sum checks on them.

I can only tell you what I've found in the past. Are the file sizes
the same as I listed above? Are you using the large CDRs (the 700MB,
80 minute) when you burn them? Are you certain you're not getting a
buffer underrun or some other error when you burn them? These kinds
of problems are most often caused by a botched CD.

The file sizes are not the same but I don't have these: redhat-7.2-disk1-intel.iso, redhat-7.2-disk2-intel.iso

I have these RedHat isos:
enigma-i386-disc1.iso, enigma-i386-disc2.iso

Sorry, I renamed them because I have images going back to 5.2 and get confused with the "enigma", "cartman", etc. names. Here's the translation:

My Name Your name
redhat-7.2-disk1-intel.iso enigma-i386-disc1.iso
redhat-7.2-disk2-intel.iso enigma-i386-disc2.iso

I am not 100 percent sure the CDs were burnt sucessfully, but there was no
error and the burning software said they were burnt sucessfully. Also I was
careful not to let them have a buffer problem -I shut down all other
software (even my screen saver and cable network connection) and recorded
at X2 when my cdrw can burn at X4.

I guess since my md5sums are all correct it is most likely to be a CD
burning error. The first time I burnt the disk 1 iso I did not use a 700MB
CD, just a standard 650MB/74Min one --but the CD burning software did not
warn me this would not be big enough nor did it tell me there was a burning
error. The second time I did use a big CD. Do you need a big CD for the
enigma-i386-disc1 and 2 isos, because -now- I have none left but have lots
of the smaller 650MB CDs? There is no difference in using 'Disk at once' or
not is there? I used that setting and closed the CDs.

I suspect that the 650MB disks may be the problem. The actual sizes (in MB) are: disc1, 648MB; disc2, 640MB. If you add in the lead-in, lead-out tracks (10MB each), I think we're over the 650MB limit. Sorry. You can still use your 650MB disks for other stuff, just not for this.

I don't normally use DAO mode, but that shouldn't be a problem.
