OK -- I did the experimentand found that disc1 copied OK to a 650 MByte
(74 min) CD and the MD5 checksum came out OK on the copy using the
dd/md5sum commands I mentioned in my earlier mail.


I assume you used something like CD Creator on Windoze to make the disks.
Did you use the option called "make CD from image" or some such thing?

Did you get to try this?  Any results?
