I mistyped myself. I have multiple desktops, just not multiple desktop MANAGERS. I use Gnome with 6 desktops: one with xterms as me (white text on black background), one with xterms as root (red text on white background), one with remote logins (green text on black background), one reserved for Mozilla, one reserved for source-navigator or kdevelop and one that's used for scratch purposes (StarOffice, gtoaster, gftp, etc.).

Only rules - as have been discussed - use either the xswitchdesk or the
command line tool and exit gracefully - if you kill out nothing is
guaranteed.

Always exit gracefully from anything--that goes for M$ stuff, too. If you just scram, some things may NOT be updated for you and/or things may get scrambled. It'll get you eventually, and you'll deserve it! ;-p (thpppppt!)

I did it once, and i dont recommend it !!
