TRUE!  And since I've already admitted to logging in as root WAY too
often, I'll also have to admit I forgot about that.  That brought up
this question: When I DO use my user account and simply "su" to make
a quick change, why don't I run into more problems?  Well, looking at
my user account's .profile, I find /usr/sbin in my PATH (and a few
other things that probably shouldn't be there)

Wow, and I'm giving out sys admin advice?  Venessa, remember, do as I
say, not as I do :)
