I've read this several times now, and I'm puzzled. I just installed 7.3
a few days ago, burned on 650s, no errors at all. I also installed 7.2
from 650s and had no problems. Afterward I started hearing this was a
problem.

Using the -h flag on df showed them to be less than 650 when burned in
both instances. I don't have the ISOs in front of me because I dumped
them after getting a good burn. But I always check sizes before I do a
burn and I know the -h flag of ls -l showed them to be under 650.

These are the sizes of 7.3:

[kcsmart home kcsmart]$ df -h /cdrom1
Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/cdrom1 iso9660 637M 638M 0 100% /cdrom1
[kcsmart home kcsmart]$ df -h /cdrom1
Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/cdrom1 iso9660 638M 639M 0 100% /cdrom1
[kcsmart home kcsmart]$ df -h /cdrom1
Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/cdrom1 iso9660 494M 495M 0 100% /cdrom1

Those are discs 1, 2 and 3 respectively. I recall 7.2 was similar,
though I believe disc 3 was <400M instead.

Checking the MD5SUMS should reveal any other problems. Also the software
used to burn and the platform it's being burned on might be something to
consider. But outside bad downloads (I never check the checksums myself,
I just make coasters when they're wrong, a bad habit I need to break)
I've never had any problems burning the downloaded ISOs.

Have I just been lucky?
