my redhat box could read the RD-only but not the

Uh, was the RW disc a rewritable CD or a CD-R? What color? Older
CD drives have trouble reading the bluish CD-RW discs, and sometimes
the greenish CD-Rs. This is due to the color of the laser in the
older drive. They read silver and gold with no problems, but the other
colors give them conniptions.
