RE: Linux 7.2 Install - Getting hda: lost interrupt errors

<Oh. Sorry. I'm assuming you use lilo to boot. If so, at the lilo
boot prompt, type in "linux nomce". This will pass the "nomce"
parameter to the kernel. If that works, great! If not, try booting
again and at the prompt, type in "linux hda=nodma" and see if that
fixes the problem. If that doesn't work, try both:
"linux nomce,hda=nodma".

When you find the magic bullet, edit the "/etc/lilo.conf" file and
add the following line to the stanza that describes the kernel you
booted:

	append="parameter-from-boot-line"

For example, if the "hda=nodma" worked, the line in the lilo.conf
file would read:

	append="hda=nodma"  >

Oh NOW problem Rick. I think I am using LILO to boot (seem to remember
seeing that) and will your great advice ! I was combo kidding/serious (in
this one dimensional media) - you did give me good advice and even though a
newbie, I did remember the ability to start Linux various ways so you are
doing dine :-)

Thanks again !
