I would recommend getting hold of Toshiba tech support to see what they
have to say.

Years ago, we had an application for our R&D group that ran on OS/2. The
VP needed to be able to run this app on his Toshiba notebook when
traveling.

They (Toshiba) bent over backwards to let us know what all was involved
with this. Sound drives, etc. were a concern back then but might not be
now (?) Ditto for the power management and PCMCIA stuff !
