However, to prevent exactly the problem you describe, I tend to use
TDK CD-Rs (which are sort of silver-aqua) since only REALLY OLD drives
have problems with them.

Strange...the TDK cd-rs here are kind of dark green/blue...or are the ones
that we have here really TDK..I dunno when everythings pirated here..

COuld anyone tell me the price of a cd'r there in the states if possible,
over here a TDK cd'r is about less than .30$....

The price fluctuates all over the place. I usually buy them in bulk (50 or 100 at a time) and they typically cost about $0.20 - $0.25 US in those quantities. If you buy them with jewel cases, they cost perhaps $0.05 - $0.15 more. I use sleeves, normally. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, SSE, VitalStream, Inc. rstevens vitalstream com - - 949-743-2010 (Voice) http://www.vitalstream.com - - - - "I understand Windows 2000 has a Y2K problem." - ----------------------------------------------------------------------
