The simplest for a system that's "out of the box" is to run:

rpm -q glibc

If you've updated or upgraded using something other than rpm, gnorpm or the
kde equivalent, which I've never run so don't know the name, then the
response will be inaccurate. In that case, someone else will be letting you
know any minute now.
