RE: cdrive lock

ON this note, I was reading a lod unix book and they mentioned that root
could unmount a system even if it is in use with the -k switch, but under
linux this doenst work.

What I mean is that is there a option to do this underlinux, say you are
the admin and you want to unmount a hard drive to do maintainenece etc,
and it is busy, ie some user has it opened, so now say you cant contac
this guy etc, is it possible to ask linux to unmount it anyway?
