Kernel looks like its in debug mode ?

Hello list,
I reinstalled RH-7.3 and upgraded my kernel. Now when i do uname --all i
see "linux hostname 2.4.10-10debug" i can also see this when i boot the
system and this is what got my attention. debug does not sound good? Any
idea what ive done wrong?
