Re: Double Installations

I also have several computers with mixed systems on the same hard disk that work great.
One system has Win98SE, Win2k, WinXP, RedHat, and Mandrake, as well as several data partitions.
I however, use a third party bootloader (from Power Quest) to manage my various systems.
I made sure to load Lilo or Grub from the first sector of the boot partition instead of the MBR.
Saves from remembering where I left the floppies. <g>.
You have to take care of loading the various OS in the correct order, and it helps to start off with a blank hard disk to play around with.
Power Quest's partition manager is great in order to change the size of partitions after installation. :-))

RedHat hdb5
Mandrake hdb6
Libranet hdb7
Progeny hdb8
Debian hdb9

All systems work fine. I'm thinking of adding Lycoris

Yes, you can mix Windows and Linux on the same HD. I originally
had it that way but my primary drive was too small for expansion.

Has any one installed RedHat on the same partitioned hard disk as

How well did it work and were there any problems?
In other words I have three partitions, C: Windows, ex2/1 Mandrake,
ex2/2 open for RedHat.
