Hi All,
I recently bought two new MSI motherboard based PCs with Intel 845G chipsets.
I've installed redhat 8.0 and have had significant trouble with the integrated ethernet controller (82562ET).
I've finally boiled it down to a problem with dhcp, or at least this is the symptom.
Following is an excerpt from /var/log/messages

This continues forever (or until I reboot, whichever comes first 8-).
It seems 192.168.100.1 (my local dhcp server) is answering, but the system is ignoring the response.
If I assign a static IP address and gateway then everything works.
Any help or direction anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated!!!
