RE: lilo.conf

Hi,

I've had a similar problem that was fixed by forcing LBA32 Mode.
In my lilo.conf file I canged "linear" to "lba32". Don't forget to run lilo
after modifying lilo.conf.

Subject: lilo.conf

I have tried to install rh8 and install it with
windows98, and then i set up a partition for a
workstation and another for a server. First i
installed windows, then the workstation then the
server, then when i modified the lilo.conf file to add
the server to lilo i have ran into problems on logging
onto the server. It hangs up with a kernel panic on
init . We copied the lines from the section image in
lilo.conf and for label used server and then used the
server as the defaul too. We did this with 7.2 and
7.3 and we had no problem. I did notice that the line
root=/dev/had4 had quotes around it, i am not sure if
that's a problem. Any ideas or suggestions ?
