now, my question is, how do i start kde?

Try entering "xinit; kdeinit"

and by the way. how to see ntfs file systems or mount them?

RedHat does not include the NTFS file system module by default. You can download the RPM from falsehope or freshmeat. And be warned that the ntfs modules you get are read-only. If you want writable NTFS, you need to build the module from source and I HIGHLY recommend you DON'T write to an NTFS partition. It can screw it up very badly and not even the NTFS checkdsk can fix it sometimes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, Senior Systems Engineer rstevens vitalstream com - - VitalStream, Inc. http://www.vitalstream.com - - - - If ignorance is bliss, you must be orgasmic. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------
