NTFS Support

I use: xinit startkde

Rick - You mentioned getting NTFS RPMs from freshmeat?
Does that mean you can get NTFS support by installing an RPM
rather than recompiling the Kernel?

I've always recompiled to get NTFS Support.

ALSO, On my Toshiba Laptop whenver I add NTFS support in a recompile
I get an unbotable kernel - (Can't mount /)

Any ideas about that??

Thanks

Try entering "xinit; kdeinit"

RedHat does not include the NTFS file system module by default. You
can download the RPM from falsehope or freshmeat. And be warned that
the ntfs modules you get are read-only. If you want writable NTFS,
you need to build the module from source and I HIGHLY recommend you
DON'T write to an NTFS partition. It can screw it up very badly
and not even the NTFS checkdsk can fix it sometimes.
