Printer / network problem

What does the message below mean? I found it in my log files which were
produced when booting linux. I noticed this change when I reinstalled
Redhat 8 and now its preventing me from printing. I've got no idea
where P5D7Q9 came from, it seemed to assign itself when reinstalling.
When I login, the login screen says something like: Welcome to P5D7Q9
please enter a username and password. When I enter "root" + the
password I get an error which is something like: Gnome couldn't resolve
an internet address for P5D7Q9 you may be able to add this to
/etc/fstab. The previous installation when logging in said something
like: Welcome to pc3-cani1-3-cust38.renf.cable .ntl.com please enter
you username + password.

The message:

Oct 31 22:34:39 P5D7Q9 lpd: 2002-10-31-22:34:39.573 Get_local_host:
hostname 'P5D7Q9' bad

I've got a feeling "pc3-cani1-3-cust38.renf.cable .ntl.com" should
replace "P5D7Q9" how do I do that?

Cheers again,

Graeme :)
