It sounds as though TCP/IP is correctly installed on both - although you
could verify this by pinging each machine from the other. What makes you
think it isn't working?

What are you actually trying to achieve? If you want to share files or
printers from Linux to Win2000 then you need to install and configure
Samba. I'm sure you can share in the other direction too, but I don't
know how (I'm a newbie myself, but setting up Samba was very easy). See
