Trying to install RH9 (boxed set) in GUI - many times, many different

"error 15: File not found" message trying to load the kernel. Obviously
something has not gotten unpacked/installed on the /dev/hda2 partition.
I've tried all I know of (long term newbie) and most of what I've
learned by Googling but nothing has worked.
This list contained a post mentioning the same problem but I couldn't
find a reply post. Another post mentioned a problem with rpm in the RH9
distro - how do I get around it?
I have installed this same distro on several other boxes with no
problem. Could be hardware stuff, eh?
Asus P4T bios rev 10.07
512mb RDRAM
Intel P4, 1300mhz
Trident 3dimage 975 video
Sony 52x CD-ROM
Auto partitioned
Does Linux not like RDRAM?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Try the install again and reformat the hard drive, but DO NOT use ext3
filesystems. Format the drive using ext2 filesystems. Once you have
Linux installed, you can convert to ext3 filesystems. There are
instructions available here:
