ypserv slave does not pass host name query to DNS

Dear folks,
Does anyone know any newer version of ypserv (2.x.x) that will pass NIS
query for hosts to DNS when the query do not have match in NIS hosts map?  I
tried about 4 different versions but none worked, including version 1.3.x
that have "-b" as the ypserv flag.  ypserv 2.5.x (NIS slave server) even
does not even have "-b" flag to associate with ypserv daemon.  In my case,
my NIS master is a solaris OS and all solaris yp slave servers run fine
without this problem.  Your help will be greatly appreciated.
