What no one has talked about is a replacement for actually viewing my work screen. Is PCAnywhere the only option? It seems like such a heavy layer to have to work through. I understand about the speed of different machines but if I boot into Windows on the same machine it does run faster and there are more features available such as logging into multiple machines - there are times when it would be nice to have 3 or 4 machines running different programs all at the same time.

Brad, what OS are you using at work? If you are running Windows XP, then it comes with a built-in remote desktop capability that is very nice - no need for PC Anywhere. And Linux has a client for that as well. If you are using an earlier Windows version, then the functionality of remote desktop used to separately packaged as Terminal Services. It would work to install the server version on your system, but I wouldn't recommend it (and you employer might have a policy against it.)
