Brad,

May I suggest you get VNC (which comes on RH - KDE environment).  Not
certain about the 
RH 9 but I think it's VNC.  If not you can easily get VNC for Linux.

You can find both the Linux and Windows Downloads at:

http://www.realvnc.com/download.html

It works great and is free.  I use it at home from the office using the
FreeSwan VPN as well
as our company using it.  I'm not sure what TCP/IP ports it uses.  You can
use a browser
to access the PC running the VNC server using port 5800 by default.  I
believe you can change
the port and probably use the one that PCAnywhere uses if needed.

Terminal Services are ok but this is purely IP and free and works great.
