i didn't see this in the archives. may i know what is the reaction of the
group on this? what would be the effect on us hobbyists/home users?

Red Hat Inc. has just announced that it is going to
drop support for Linux. From next year, users of any
enterprise-level Linux distro withthe Red Hat name on
it will need to pay for it.
