[Redhat] vmlinuz

Title: [Redhat] vmlinuz

Hi friends,
I have few queries regarding Linux. Can some one give me the response..
1. Why bootimage is called as vmlinuz ? Is there any specific reason?
2. When you create temporary swap memory we used to give the folowing commands
        #dd if=/dev/zero of=/TempSwap bs=1024 count=65564
In the above command what does it mean if=/dev/zero and of=/TempSwap. Are these InputFile (if) and OutputFile(of) ??

Why do we need to specify like that?
3. How can we retrieve deleted data? (Heard that by using midnight Commander (mc), we can retrieve the data). But I dont know the procedure of undeleting data

(have tried in google, but i dint get useful info).
4. What is the difference between RSA and DSA keys? Both are encryption authentication keys right? I think RSA has come with SSH1 and DSA has come with SSH2. What are the main differences between them?

5. I wanted to configure lan in my house. I wanted to install  Linux (RH9), mail server(send mail), web server (apache) and DNS in that. What Hardware configuration do I need (Best hardware).

Please some one give me reply or send me useful links. I am waiting for your positive response.

Thanks and rgds,
Prasad Rao.
