AW: Installation problems



 
Hi Bob

It's a No-Name Laptop. 512MB RAM, 40 GB Hardisk...
The funny thing is, if i boot from the disk (bootdisk.img) i can see the red
hat logo, but the disk can't continues the installation on cd...
If i boot from the cd, the red hat logo is broken! But i can continue the
installation till the blue screen...

More information, please?  What kind?  How much RAM.  How big a hard drive?

General guidance:

- If video is leading (or bleeding) edge, choose text install, as you
  did.  It's just as functional as the GUI, and you will still get a
  GUI-running system.

- Install to ext2 partitions, not (the default) ext3.  The installer
  is a little fragile about that.  You can convert things to ext3
  using these instructions:
