Oracle made the decision to only support specific releases of Linux.
RH's releases were coming out far to frequently for Oracle to expend the
resources needed to certify on every release.
This is, in part, what drove RedHat to abandon the RedHat <N.X> release
chain. One of the purposes of the RedHat ES/AS product lines is to
produce a more stable and more slowly changing set of commercially
oriented products which companies like Oracle and IBM can keep up with
and therefore certify their products with.
Under their current plan Oracle will NEVER support or certify their
product(s) with Fedora. Its not stable enough.
