Hi folks,
I'm sure this is a trivial one for some of you out there but I need a
quick
answer. I need to get my RH 9.0 systems to automount on /net instead
of /.automount. What do I need to do to make that happen?
What is getting mounted on /.automount ?
What do you want on /net ?
Are you looking for the kind of thing Solaris has?
You might look at autofs4. It supports that and comes withe the setup to
have all NFS exports available on /net/<machine> like Solaris.
Othere than that, autofs mounts things where it's told. I have my
CD(IDE), CDRW (USB), CF (PCMCIA), and floppy aouto mounted in /mnt,
home directories on /home, and several others, that come from NIS.
I've never had anything on /.automount though.
