(OT ?) dsl modem

according to our isp, the dsl should be up and running tho the modem itself 
still hasnt sinc'd with the isp server.

all info here has to go throught the isp to the phone co.

so, according to the isp, they talked to the the local phoneco yesterday, and 
the switch has been installed on our phone line.

my dsl sinc light is still flashing.

this is an alcatel home, about 2 years old. any one know if:

there is a firmware update for this thing?
and actually how to set it up.

we didnt get any sort of documentation on it and the stuff i was able to d/l 
from www.speedtouchdsl.com wasnt all the helpful on this point.

any help would be appreciated.
