(Sorry, my message went under another thread unrelated to this subject so I am
resending it.)
Happy New Year!
I came across a problem trying to share my ADSL connection with another
computer:
My notebook computer is running RH 8.0. I put in two PC card ethernet
adapters and both working fine as eth0 and eth1. I use one of the NICs
(eth1) for ADSL PPPoE connection.
If I do not activate neither eth0 nor eth1, the internet connection works
fine. But I can no longer browse to any webpage if I activate either eth0 or
eth1, although I can still ping to any active putlic address from PPP0, which
means the connection is still alive.
How can I set the machine to work with both eth0/eth1 and PPP0 activated? How
can I use this desktop as a gateway to make the internet connection availabe
to another machine? I can ping my notebook from the other machine after
activating eth0.
Thanks!
YYQ
