Re: samba password



I have found it easier to create a user with the same name and password
on both the windows and linux box. then, if the user name is say dale I
do the following as root:

smbadduser dale:dale


This maps the user name on the windows machine to the user on the linux
box. Post your smb.conf file so we can look at it...
