I just installed RHL 8.0 out of the box. In the Network Config GUI I selected for my ppp0 (modem) interface to be established upon boot-up (among many other parms that I set during install/ config).
I logged out and shutdown the system (a Dell laptop). When I boot the system, the boot loader hangs at the following network parameters statement:
Bringing up interface ppp0:
I seem to be able to only reboot at this point.
I have low UNIX skills, and need a solution to get past this statement (I can remove it in the GUI w/o issue). Shall I get an SA to remedy it, or can I do it myself with a little guidance?
Thanks,
Roy
