ifcfg-eth0 has the following -
USERCTL=no
PEERDNS=no
GATEWAY=10.3.1.254
TYPE=Ethernet
DEVICE=eth0
HWADDR=00:4c:69:6e:75:79
BOOTPROTO=none
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
ONBOOT=yes
IPADDR=10.3.1.23
NETWORK=10.3.1.0
BROADCAST=10.3.1.255
Does that look right? The Linux machine CAN ping its
own IP but cannot ping anything else whether on the
internal network or the Internet.
Another point. Win98 shows the MAC address as
something else.
Any pointers?
Thanks,
Ajit
